About Mirella
As a committed person to "Tai Chi for Health and Fitness" and all-around well-being, I decided to create a website dedicated to Tai Chi, the benefits resulting from practicing this art and some other topics of interest to me.
I have been practicing Tai Chi for over ten years, primarily for health and fitness and I have the rest of my life to perfect my Tai Chi.
I found Tai Chi to be very beneficial to me physically as a full body workout and mentally as a relaxation exercise. At the beginning, I studied and learned from my teachers the "physical" aspect of Tai Chi, emphasizing the stretching, balance, flexibility and coordination. Later, my teachers introduced to me the martial aspect of the art, learning the self defense applications and the push hands.
For the past 5 years I have been studying under Dr. Peter Chow the philosophical, spiritual and the medical aspect of Tai Chi. Dr. Peter Chow is a 28th generation Tai Chi and Qi Gong master, Doctor of Classical Chinese Medicine, acupuncturist and I-Ching master. His teaching and guidance were essential to my development and understanding of the art of Tai Chi.
My focus is on "Tai Chi for health and fitness" and finding ways to teach people of all ages to benefit from this wonderful and amazing art.
Some of my other interests and studies are: Qi Gong, Auricular Medicine ( ICCCM hosts AMS that are provided by Dr Li Chun Huang), Feng Shui (Louis Audet has a wonderful website) and Yoga.
I study Classical Chinese Medicine and Tai Chi at ICCCM in Phoenix, Arizona (International College of Classical Chinese Medicine).
I also enjoy Italian cooking, I have some recipes from my family that I like to share.
I have two dogs, one Afghan Hound named Shiro and a Wheaten Terrier named Gigio. I posted a link to YouTube videos with both of them.
